Assalamualaikum...

Rasa besyukur sangat sebab masih di beri peluang untuk melihat matahari,menghidu udara dan melihat pemandangan yg terlalu indah ni .tiba2 lak berpuitis..hee.. YES semua org perlu bersyukur dengan apa yg diaorang memiliki n nikmati.. 

Ok la kali ni ak nk share ngan korang about satu penyakit ni.rasa mcm ramai yg penah dengar nama penyakit ni tp xtau apa kebenda penyakit tu. sbb kita xpenah ambil port pon kn pasal penyakit2 nie sbb kita pikir kita muda lgi kn ssh dapt penyakit. actually is it WRONG!!! k.. zaman sekarang xkira muda ke tua ke semua ad penyakit termasuk la saya..

Agak terkejut jugak la bila ak di sahkan ad penyakit THYROID jenis HYPERTHYROIDISM. 1st ingatkn thyroid ni satu jenis je rupanya banyak jenis.hee..k, ak nk share ngan korang symptoms2 dia n skit2 maklumat yg ak dapat k.

Hyperthyroidism Symptoms

Symptoms and their severity depend on duration and extent of thyroid hormone excess, and the age of the individual. Individuals may experience:

• Nervousness and irritability
• Palpitations and tachycardia
• Heat intolerance or increased sweating
• Tremor
• Weight loss or gain
• Increase in appetite
• Frequent bowel movements or diarrhea
• Lower leg swelling
• Sudden paralysis
• Shortness of breath with exertion
• Decreased menstrual flow
• Impaired fertility
• Sleep disturbances (including insomnia)
• Changes in vision
• Photophobia, or light sensitivity
• Eye irritation with excess tears
• Diplopia, or double vision
• Exophthalmos, or forward protrusion of the eyeball
• Fatigue and muscle weakness
• Thyroid enlargement
• Pretibial myxedema (fluid buildup in the tissues about the shin bone; may be seen with Grave's disease)

ak nasihatkan kalau korang ada salah satu symptoms ni , cepat2 la gie jumpa doktor k.. jangan jdi mcm ak, ingat kn biasa2 je, ambik ko bila pergi da kira teruk gak la..da kene gantung pada ubat.. n hope korang doakan ak cepat sembuh k..

Hyperthyroidism Treatment

The treatments discussed here are for all causes of hyperthyroidism except for subacute thyroiditis. Subacute thyroiditis typically gets better without any specific treatment.

The treatment options for hyperthyroidism caused by Graves' disease or nodular thyroid disease are divided into two sections.

1. treatments that decrease thyroid hormone production, and
2. symptomatic treatment to alleviate the effects of excess thyroid hormone.

Although the most common treatment of overactive thyroid disease is radioactive iodine ablation, many patients are initially treated with antithyroid medication to normalize thyroid hormone levels prior to either radioactive iodine ablation or thyroidectomy.

Surgery is used to treat hyperthyroidism if the patient requires a quick reduction in thyroid hormone levels such as during pregnancy.
